Budding Young Designer Visits PrimarySite

At PrimarySite we love meeting the children and teachers who use our school websites, so we were delighted to welcome two children and their teacher to our offices this morning.  Abigail, a Year 4 child from Barnby Road Academy, had entered a competition organised by her teacher, Mr Barbuti, to design a new logo to promote the podcasting area of the school website.

Abigail and her friend Charlie were welcomed by our mascot Webster and given a tour of the office, learning about the different jobs people do.  Then Sammy, one of our web designers, helped Abigail to transform her wonderful drawing into an animated button on the home page of the website.

Abigail, who wants to be an artist when she grows up, commented, “I’ve had a great day. I’ve been working with a lady called Sammy who’s really nice and helpful.   I feel really glad that I’ve done it and I feel really and happy and excited about it.”

Abigail’s logo links to Barnby Road’s podcasting website, which has proved a very popular area of the school’s website since its launch in September.
