TES School Awards 2011
Congratulations to the secondary and sixth form Sir John Lawes School from Harpenden in Hertfordshire for winning the “Outstanding School Website of the Year” at this year's coveted TES School Awards. In its third year, the awards recognise the best imagination, ability and sheer professionalism that schools across the country have demonstrated. Gerard Kelly, TES editor, commented “This year’s entries were an even higher standard than last year, with hundreds more schools presenting dazzling creative and ambitious work. Crucially, more teachers seemed to recognise the purpose of these awards: to celebrate the fact that the best schools work as team”.
Hosted by the impressionist and hilarious comedian Rory Bremner at the lavish Hilton Hotel, Park Lane, London, over 800 nominees and guests enjoyed this rare opportunity to celebrate just some of the great work happening in our schools. PrimarySite was invited to the awards as the category sponsor of the “Outstanding School Website of the Year” to present the award to this year's winner.
