"When it comes to choosing a company to provide your school's website, there's really only one option that makes sense - PrimarySite. Take a look at the evidence and decide for yourself..."
PrimarySite was founded by a primary school teacher who became dissatisfied with school websites produced by non-educationalists. Our company aim is to use our expertise in both technology and education to provide a service which really meets the needs of primary schools. Our vast experience, dealing with over 400 schools, means we understand what staff, parents and children want from a school website.
We absolutely guarantee that you will be happy with the final design of your site. We design each school website on an individual basis, so it is important or us to know about your design preferences. As we don't use templates, the design of your site will be totally unique to your school.
We are committed to the very highest standards of design, website usability and customer service.
"It's so easy to edit pages and add new items, that all of the staff are enthusiastic about adding their own pieces "
-ICT Co-ordinator, Oatlands Junior School, Harrogate.
It's easy to keep your PrimarySite website up to date - everyone at school can get involved. You don't need any special training or software... just cut and paste from Word, type text directly or add documents, images and videos with a few simple clicks. Why not request a free demonstration of our easy-to-use system?
"I would wholeheartedly recommend PrimarySite. They are efficient, helpful, technically brilliant and made us feel in complete control. The whole process was carried out smoothly without a hitch"
- Chair of Governors, Holy Trinity C.E Primary School, Woking, Surrey.
You can relax in the knowledge that PrimarySite will help and support you throughout the whole life of your website, as well as during the process of setting it up.
We are here to make sure that your experience of using the website is as smooth and enjoyable as possible. If you have any concerns at all about your website, our friendly and professional staff will be more than happy to assist you.
As soon as your site is ready to launch, we will send you our Website Co-ordinator's Handbook. This is packed with useful information to help you maintain the site, including:
Your website will be hosted on PrimarySite's top-of-the-range web servers, with no limit to the amount of web space you can use. Each year we will register your chosen domain name (web address) for you. We will also make sure that your site is optimised for the major search engines and listed in school web directories, so that visitors have no trouble finding it.
Once your site has been launched, we periodically check to make sure the pages are displaying properly, and any technical problems are corrected immediately. Once a year we give your site a thorough review and send you a detailed report about how many people are visiting your site, where they are from and which pages are most popular. The report also provides tips on how to get more out of the site, and useful upgrade options.
School websites tend to grow and evolve over time. As you live with your website no doubt you will want to change or add to the site so that it keeps pace with the requirements of the parents, pupils and staff who use it. We will be very happy to advise on amendments or additions at any time. You can also rest assured that PrimarySite will keep up to date with new innovations in technology and developments in best practice for primary schools, especially in the areas of internet safety and accessibility.
Accessibility is an important feature for an inclusive school. Your website is going to be an important resource for information, so it is essential that it provides equal access and equal opportunity to people who wish to view it.
Many people have disabilities that affect their use of the web. For example, a visitor may be colourblind and unable to distinguish the colour of text from the page background, or a visitor may have a physical disability that prevents them from using a mouse. These are known as accessibility barriers.
However, these accessibility barriers can be overcome by following a set of standards that have been developed by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C).
All our websites are built to follow these Accessibility standards, so for example, the person unable to use the mouse is able to navigate the site with their keyboard. The person with colourblindness is able to change the colours to suit them.

Unlike many school websites, ours are built for interaction. With blogs, polls, forums, podcasts and an online newspaper, the website is a terrific place for pupils to practise their communication skills and express their opinions as active citizens. Finding information for projects need never be a problem as the Internet Research Zone unlocks the biggest reference library in the world.
Things never stand still in the world of the internet, nor in education. At PrimarySite we constantly innovate to take advantage of new developments in technology, and support schools by keeping pace with educational best practice guidelines.
